I didn’t get to bed until after midnight last night (or should I say this morning?) and was hoping to get some sleep this morning. But that didn’t happen, thanks to my Siamese cat meowing non-stop at 5:30 AM. I keep him in his room as I do not want him to surprise me by jumping up (or down) from my bed and waking me up, either by the action itself or the sound of his bell on his collar. Typically, 5:30 AM is when I wake up during the week, and even if I do not set the alarm, my “biological clock” seems to go off and tell me it’s time to get up. If I get up any later, it seems like the day is ending soon, particularly during these winter months when sunlight is scarce. Speaking of which, I’m trying to get the Church Council to change the Sunday service from 10:00 AM to 9:00 AM. By 11:00ish, the day seems to be almost over. If I could, I’d hold the service at 8:00 AM, but I know that would be too early for many. I also can’t expect changes overnight as I have only been a member of the Church for just over a year. And I’ve been a member of the Church Council for just as long.
