I received my tax refund from the IRS in the mail today! Woohoo! Now the trip has been paid for with spending money left over. After depositing that in the bank, I actually went to the office on my day off. Remember, it’s only a two-mile commute. The main reason for going in to the office was to print out the vouchers for the various tours and passes I purchased through Orbitz. I wasn’t too pleased with how they printed out on my ink jet printer, so I printed them out on my laser printer at the office. While I didn’t see the recommendation this time, I recall a few years ago when companies would recommend printing on laser printers so as to not have any problems with scanning the bar (UPC) codes. I didn’t want to take a chance.

Now that the laundry is done, it’s time to start packing. I checked American Airlines’ website just a while ago and everything is still scheduled for take-off at 10:50 AM tomorrow morning. :-) Now we only have to worry about snow. Yes, I said “snow.” We’re expecting to get some tomorrow, but I believe it isn’t to come until after noon.

May I recommend that next year have your refund directly deposited in the bank. That way you don’t have to worry about the check getting lost or stolen, or waiting for it in the mail and taking it to the bank.
