I forgot to include my photos from last Friday’s journies in Chicago that morning. No photos were taken at the rock concert later that evening for fear that my camera would be confiscated and destroyed.
Some of the photos include additional photos from the Chicago Cultural Center where I discovered yet another glass dome in the Grand Army of the Republic (G.A.R.) Memorial Hall. Enjoy! Remember to click on photos to enlarge! And you will need to click TWICE to get to its largest display.
- Christmas tree on its way from Nebraska to Rockefeller Plaza. Just Kidding!
- Detail on one of Chicago bridge towers near Michigan Avenue and ??
- The Wrigley Building
- The NBC Tower. Notice the peacock at the top?
- Tribune Tower
- An interesting dress made of keys. Various dresses were spotted along Michigan Avenue that were quite funky. I keep thinking of these as keys to a chastity belt. Talk about a VERY LONG foreplay!
- G.A.R. Memorial Hall
- Dome inside the GAR Memorial Hall
- Detail Close-up of a section of the dome
- The oculus of the dome in the GAR Memorial Hall
- An interesting spotting on my way home. Luckily I didn’t see any slurs against the GLBT community!

Friday????? I’m so far off!
Where was this rock concert, China?
Great photos, as always, Steven. The key dress is interesting. The NBC building looks a little similar to 30 Rock in NYC, I think…
: )
Beautiful photos!
I love that glass dome! Very detailed and exquisite.
If you took photos, I would love to see them!
JSYK- my friend and I were trying last night to figure out what G.A.R. stood for. Now I will be able to tell him!
These are some beautiful photos, Steven. I, too, like taking photos of architecture (or plants, places, etc.). I know I don’t post here very often, but I do read your blog and take great enjoyment from getting the chance to get to know you better. I hope you’re doing well. Perhaps we’ll chat more soon.
