Twenty-Five Things about Me

1. I like photography.
2. I am fascinated with architecture.
3. I like Chicago and wouldn’t mind moving there and giving up my car.
4. The furthest I’ve lived from my childhood home is five miles (except college).
5. The closest I’ve lived from my childhood home is five blocks.
6. I wanted to be a priest as late as my junior year in college.
7. I am a “Recovering Catholic” and have joined an “open and affirming” (GLBT-welcoming) United Church of Christ (UCC) congregation.
8. I was told I had only three weeks to live at the age of 18.
9. I attended the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
10. I am the youngest of three children.
11. I wear my heart on my sleeve way too often, which ultimately hurts me in the end.
12. I like to watch a good “tear-jerker” every now and then.
13. I’m relatively shy in person. But once I get to know you, look out!
14. I have a photographic memory.
15. I like the four seasons.
16. I am an accommodator.
17. I avoid confrontation at all costs. But if your fist is thrown, I will protect myself.
18. I like swimming.

21. I typically prefer men who are the same age or older. I attribute this to being the youngest sibling who always got along with my older siblings’ friends. Perhaps I am more mature than people my own age? That doesn’t preclude a younger man if he were to capture my attention.
22. I believe in and will only live in monogamous relationships.
23. I am an (overly?) active member of many social, educational and civic organizations.
24. It’s hard for me to say, “No.”
25. I am single and available and available.
