I like Chicago and wouldn’t mind moving there and giving up my car.
The furthest I’ve lived from my childhood home is five miles (except college).
The closest I’ve lived from my childhood home is five blocks.
I wanted to be a priest as late as my junior year in college.
I am a “Recovering Catholic” and have joined an “open and affirming” (GLBT-welcoming) United Church of Christ (UCC) congregation.
I was told I had only three weeks to live at the age of 18.
I attended the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
I am the youngest of three children.
I wear my heart on my sleeve way too often, which ultimately hurts me in the end.
I like to watch a good “tear-jerker” every now and then.
I’m relatively shy in person. But once I get to know you, look out!
I have a photographic memory.
I like the four seasons.
I am an accommodator.
I avoid confrontation at all costs. But if your fist is thrown, I will protect myself.
I like swimming.
I like tennis.
I like college football.
I typically prefer men who are the same age or older. I attribute this to being the youngest sibling who always got along with my older siblings’ friends. Perhaps I am more mature than people my own age? That doesn’t preclude a younger man if he were to capture my attention.
I believe in and will only live in monogamous relationships.
I am an (overly?) active member of many social, educational and civic organizations.
My name is Tom and I was told about your site recently and LOVE it! The other reason I am writing (since I couldn’t find an email) that I have a podcast called Ramble Redhead where I interview members of the GLBT community and our allies and would love to see if it would be possible to have you on my show.
In the past 2+ years I have had people like Kate Clinton, Chad Allen, Jim David, Ari Gold, Jason Stuart just to name a few and would like to add your name to list!
Looking forward to talking with you and keep up the great work with the site!
Hi, I’m an ex Marching Illini member who stumbled upon your site and had to laugh about your re-occuring dreams about forgeting your uniform/mouthpiece or being late as I still have them after 20 years. I was a drum major and on an away game forgot my long black riding boots…still makes me cringe to this day. Whats that about?? I ended up borrowing a pair of balck shoes and wrapped black electrical tape over my trousers up to my knees…somewhat effective. Makes me feel better to know that your out there. All the best, John
Hi – reading through your list reminds me of myself. I am a Catholic and I was also contemplating joining the priesthood as well – but for various reasons did not. I am also shy and also cannot say “no”.
"Heterosexually Challenged" is an approved GLBT Wordpress blog!
